I completed my Masters in Physiotherapy in January 2015 at Southampton University. I am a fully HCPC registered, Chartered Physiotherapist. In 2007 I qualified from Manchester Met University with a Hons Degree in Sports Science, and also hold the Football Association (FA) diploma in sports injury and a Sports Massage diploma. I am a certified Football Association Medical Tutor teaching pitch side first aid and sports injury courses for the FA.
It was in 2012 that I gained HSE First Aid instructors award and completed a teaching certificate.
I have worked with many athletes over a variety of sports which include National and Olympic level.
I am also a registered member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
I have, therefore, trained to use an integrated approach, combining techniques from Physiotherapy with Acupuncture, in order to treat a range of conditions and reduce pain and inflammation.
As a AACP member, I can combine Traditional Chinese Medicine principles from acupuncture with scientific evidence as a means of reducing pain and promoting healing, and always with the aim of enhancing physiotherapy treatments such as exercise and rehabilitation techniques to promote recovery and improve quality of life.
