Hi, I am Kenny I am a highly qualified MSK Practitioner and an expert in the field of Human Movement, Function and Performance. I am a highly experienced Chartered Physiotherapist who specialises in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Injuries commonly occur during sports, training and the rigours of everyday life. This leads to pain, disability, poor performance and a reduced quality of life. You certainly do not need to be a sports fanatic to benefit from my services!

I aim to give effective treatment to your injury and symptoms, through accurate diagnosis, based on current research, and return you to pain-free function quickly. The identification of the root cause of your issue, such as simple leg weakness, posture and changes in your gait (walking) also forms an essential part of the overall injury management.

Initial sessions usually require a very hands-on approach to assist joints, nerves and muscles to move freely. As a compliment to manual therapy, clients are encouraged to take a central role in their rehabilitation through postural re-education and personalised home exercise programmes. This ensures the chance of symptoms returning are minimised.

Testimonials

I thought you might like to know that I have finally been discharged from Hospital. I saw them last Friday, and they were very surprised at my progress. They said that many patients with my sort of injury never get back any flexibility, and walk with a permanent large limp! They thought my flexibility was very nearly back to normal, and were amazed that I can manage a one mile walk every day. I told them I put it down to having prompt and excellent physio, and they agreed whole heartedly – so thank you so much for all your good work.

Again, many, many thanks,

Kind regards,

Jenny McCallum

Kenny not only evaluated my fitness levels ,assessing where I needed to improve, but he also gauged my mental strength required to complete a marathon successfully.

Kenny combined numerous factors to maximise the end goal by explaining physiological links between intense, interval and sustained bursts of exertion. He explained clearly how my body would use energy, recover and slowly build fitness over time. Kenny has a deep knowledge of the physiological makeup of the human body; he understands the stresses the human body undergoes during intense training and can adapt training programmes and he does this on a bespoke basis for each individual person.

A key skill to Kenny’s success is his ability to enthuse, motivate and deliver results – he is a natural ‘people person’. I cannot recommend him highly enough and would encourage anyone to utilise his skills.

Having signed up for my first half marathon, I approached Kenny for support knowing I needed someone behind me who, I could not only trust to provide a clear and achievable training plan, but also as someone who would motivate me to keep going when times got tough and I lacked discipline. Kenny offered intuitive training advice, which broke through the monotony of training to ensure I kept going. When times got tough, he offered ‘miracle’ solutions through physical, physiological and nutritional advice to ensure I addressed the needs of my body. Devastatingly, I acquired a stress fracture the week before the race and was diagnosed with oestopenia. Kenny was instrumental in building my understanding and supporting me in coming to terms with this. Without his professionalism, straight-talking and humour, I would never have achieved as much as I have and I would never have recovered as quickly. Kenny is an inspiration.
